Disposable life

If we accept presumption that the New consumer religion is being formed (see homo consumer) then from the point of view of the New religion, material value of a thing has no determinant meaning. As analogy one can present a Buddhist prayer-mill: it does not matter what it is made from, gold or wood, all what matters is  the number of the wheel rotations. In New Religion of homo consumer the more you use, the more manna you’ll get. In this regard a disposable thing is perfect and the best to reflect the spirit of this religion. It is not money but money spending, what permits the manna to be expressed through a person. And this permission is governed by advertising, fashions and mass media.

In our works we use disposable things as a symbol of disposable life worshiped in religion of homo consumer. These things taken out of their real world having lost key functions of their “service”, having turned into more fetishistic objects can tell more about our lives that we would like to hear….
